Our Story
Advanced Home Health Care was founded in 1997 by a registered nurse who believed families in our community deserved access to high-quality care at home.
In 2012, fellow Southeast Iowa residents Steve and Kathy Gabel purchased the agency and continued to grow that mission with a focus on professional leadership, local relationships, and dependable care delivery.

Leah Galvin
CEO/Administrator
Leah brings more than two decades of experience across aging services, assisted living operations, and home-based care. She oversees our operations with a focus on quality, consistency, and communication, understanding how care plans translate into real life at home.
Debbie Donahue
Director of Nursing
Debbie leads clinical quality and nursing oversight. Her role centers on safe practice, clear care planning, and collaboration across disciplines so the right level of care is always provided at the right time.
Tricia Jacobs
Social Worker
Tricia expertly manages referrals and insurance coordination to ensure patients receive the services they need at home. She also provides guidance on community resources and helps patients and families navigate financial and insurance-related barriers to care, ensuring a smooth transition to home-based services
Kathy Gabel, RN
Co-Owner
Kathy is a healthcare entrepreneur and registered nurse with decades of experience across inpatient care, outpatient services, long-term care management, and healthcare business development. Her leadership emphasizes clarity, coordination, and care that respects independence.
Steve Gabel
Co-Owner
A lifelong resident of Keokuk, Steve brings a small-business background in contracting and property management. His role supports our operations and facilities, so our care teams can focus on what happens in the home. You’ll see that operational focus reflected in reliable processes and responsive support.
