How much does the service cost?
Costs for our home health care services will depends on what service(s) you require and what funding source(s) you are able to use. What are my payment options for home care services?
There are a number of ways that individuals can pay for home care services, including: Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance, EEOICPA (Former IAAP workers), worker’s compensation, Veteran’s Administration, private care insurance companies and long-term care insurance companies. Yes, our services may be covered through Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance for qualified individuals.
Is your agency licensed?
While there is no licensing criteria or organization for home health care agencies in our state, Advanced Home Health Care is a Medicare-certified Burlington, Iowa home health care agency serving clients throughout the Iowa counties of Des Moines, Lee, Henry, Louisa and Van Buren.
Are your caregivers insured and bonded?
Yes, all our caregivers, nurses, therapists and home health aides are licensed and bonded.

What are the advantages of Iowa home health care?
Who doesn’t want to stay in their own home? With home health care, clients can receive one-on-one care without having to relocate to a nursing home or assisted living facility. Advanced Home Health Care is not a “9 to 5” agency, so we are always available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help keep you in your home. However, if your loved one lives in a nursing or assisted living facility, we are also available to provide services within those facilities as well.
Who can receive in-home health care?
Individuals of all ages and with a variety of health care needs can receive home health services. Medicare, Medicaid and insurance companies may require medical orders from a physician before care can be initiated. Advanced Home Health Care can help you navigate all your payment options to make the process as simple and easy as possible for you.
Will I be able to reach a caregiver after hours? If so, how can I contact someone after hours?
Yes. We provide an 800 number to all our clients so that they can contact us for anything they need, including our on-call nurse.
How quickly can I arrange for service?
We can arrange for service within 48 hours of notification.
Do you require a commitment to a minimum of hours and days a week in order to provide care?
No. We can accommodate as little or as much care as you need.
Are your services covered by Medicare?
Yes, as long as the patient is homebound by the Medicare standards/definition. It has to be a taxing effort for the person to leave the home and a doctor must certify that the patient is in need of skilled nursing care.
Are your services available in nursing homes or assisted living facilities?
Yes. We can provide home health services wherever you call home.
What if my caregiver is sick and cannot make it to my house?
We always train a few caregivers for each client so the client can become familiar with more than one caregiver. That way, in the event that a caregiver is absent due to an emergency, illness or vacation, the client will still have a caregiver in the home that he or she feels comfortable with.
What kind of in-home care services do you provide?

How are your caregivers screened?
Each of our caregivers must undergo a thorough interview process, as well as pass a comprehensive array of background checks to ensure that they have the skills, personality and passion to work with us and our clients. All our nurses, therapists and social workers must be up to date on their certifications.
What kind of training do your caregivers receive?
We invest in our staff’s continuing education, because our most valuable asset is our well-trained, friendly and knowledgeable staff. We provide ongoing training for all our staff members so that we can stay up to date on the most current trends and care practices within the healthcare industry.
